HOW TO GET THERE

 

Meredith Music Festival is held at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre, on Mt. Mercer Road, near a town called Meredith, in Victoria, Austrlia. Meredith the town is halfway between Geelong and Ballarat on the Midland Highway (A300), about 90kms due West of Melbourne. By car from Melbourne it is a 110 minute drive, however you should allow two and a quarter hours on the weekend of the festival. Melway Map: 611 C4. The festival can also be reached by public transport.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

 

From Melbourne, take the Princes Fwy to Geelong. Just before you get to the Geelong CBD there will be signs for Ballarat and Geelong West, this is the Midland Highway (A300). Take this exit (it's a left hand exit ramp) towards Ballarat. Meredith the town is about 40 minutes drive along the Midland Highway, halfway between Geelong and Ballarat. At Meredith, turn left at the Royal Hotel, this is Mt. Mercer Rd. The Meredith Music Festival is about 12 minutes drive along this road.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

 

It's easy, cheap and quick to get to and from Meredith by Public Transport. We love the Public Transport system - it's one of the best in the world in fact - and encourage its use. (Nobody paid us to say that).

Basically, there are trains from Spencer Street Melbourne to Geelong station (approx. 60 mins), then there are buses from Geelong Station to Meredith town (approx. 30mins), then the Meredith Festival Shuttle Bus will take you from Meredith town to the Festival site (approx. 10mins).

The trains and buses are run by the State Public Transport authorities, so contact each station for prices of fares. The shuttle bus from Meredith town to and from the Festival site costs $2 per trip.

A bus will pick you up at Meredith Town and take you to the site. As the gates of the festival don't open until 3pm, you may have to wait at Reception until 3pm.

Get a train to Geelong, then onto the bus to Meredith, departing from the Geelong railway station.

SUNDAY FROM MEREDITH

 

You ABSOLUTELY MUST report to the INFO CENTRE (near the Food Court) by 12noon Sunday and REGISTER FOR THE BUS if you want to go home by public transport. Its as simple as that. You must register, or we wont know you need to get home by public transport and you may miss out on a seat on the bus back to Meredith town.

AVALON AIRPORT JETSTAR PASSENGERS

 

Services between Geelong and Avalon:
